"I'm a quick draw player"

Today, the fun sports meet organized by the "Sailing" social practice team officially kicked off at Shangrong Primary School. The sports meet featured many events, including the "I'm a Quick Gunner" event, which was led by two student teachers.

The student teachers prepared chopsticks and items to be picked up with chopsticks beforehand. Participating students had one minute to use the chopsticks to pick up the items and place them in corresponding boxes. The student who picked up the most items within the time limit won. The items prepared by the student teachers were glass beads, and the chopsticks were disposable wooden chopsticks. The two boxes were about 1.5 meters apart. During the preparation process, students curiously gathered around, eager to try.

As soon as the competition officially started, many students immediately crowded around. The student teachers organized the students into a line to register. The first student was a little nervous at first, failing to pick up the bead after several attempts. Seeing this, a teacher encouraged him, saying, "Don't worry, there's plenty of time, take your time." The surrounding students spontaneously cheered him on. There was also a very tall boy who could easily place the beads into the box on the other side with a large stride, giving him a significant advantage and ultimately achieving a score of twelve in one minute. The students behind him watched enviously, whispering, "If only my legs were that long!" However, as it turned out, height wasn't the key to victory. The ultimate winner was a short girl with a score of fourteen.

This event tested not only students' hand-eye coordination but also, and perhaps more importantly, their mental fortitude. Good mental fortitude helps students fully utilize their abilities. One student today was a prime example; he was too nervous the first time and slipped several times. But the second time, after mentally preparing himself, he quickened his pace, his hands became steady, and he didn't falter even with the distractions of his classmates, ultimately achieving a score of thirteen.

We hope that this fun sports meet will liberate students from the monotony of their studies, allowing them to balance work and rest, which will help increase their interest in learning and improve their learning efficiency.
